Chapters 28-31y

A lot of things happen in chapters 28-31. Finally the book ends with a pretty Big Bang. The kids re attacked by an unknown person on the way home. Bob Ewell was found dead under a tree with a knife in his stomach. Also Boo Radley looks very shady while all of the people are talking about the beating.

I believe that this book should not be banned. It addresses many issues involving racial problems and even just regular everyday issues. Not to mention To Kill A Mockingbird is a classic in the USA. Although it may contain profanity, sexual, and racial content, it is all a part of the real world. To Kill A Mockingbird is all about teaching the reader a lesson on what the real world is like. This world contains profanity, sexual, and racial content in our everyday lives. Banning the book just bans a way for us to learn about what the world is actually like. The book also teaches us valuable lessons about life that is essential to a person and how they live their life. In summary, To Kill A Mockingbird should never ever be banned from the public.

The book finally ends with these chapters. Nobody knows the attacker but i believe it's Boo Radley. I think he killed Bob Ewell as well. I'm disappointed that this book is over because I really enjoyed reading this book. I hope that she makes a sequel to this book.

Chapters 16-27

These 11 chapters were very interesting chapters. I thoroughly enjoyed reading these chapters. Mr. Ewell was stalking a lot of people. He is making sure that nobody is conspiring against him so that he can get away with his crime. Tom Robinson also loses the trial when he is not even guilty. Mr. Ewell was the one who raped his daughter and abused her not poor crippled Tom. Scout also is going to play a ham in the pageant.

Direct Evidence:
When Atticus made Tom write his name on a piece of paper, Tom wrote with his left hand. Therefore Tom could not have punched Mayella with his left hand because her bruise was on her right side. This proves that Tom is not guilty and Mr. Ewell was the one who did those things to her.

Circumstantial Evidence:
Tom went into Mayella's house but nobody actually saw what happened. This is why they think Tom raped Mayella. There is no clear evidence on what actually went down inside of the house with Tom and Mayella.

I think that these chapters were very eventful. I enjoyed reading about the trial and who got accused. These chapters left room for interpratation and let me use my problem solving skills. I am excited to keep reading To Kill A Mockingbird.

Blog Post 10-15

In the chapters 10-15 a lot of events happened. Scout thinks the Atticus is starting to get old and needs to live a little. Jem cuts off the top of Mrs. Dubose's flowers and he needs to read for a month to get over it. Also Aunt Alexandra came to stay at this house with Atticus and the kids. Alexandra believes that Calpurnia should leave the house because she is a bad influence on the children.

Mrs. Dubose is a very courageous character. She used to be addicted to morphene and she gets sick. It took her a while to get rid of her addiction but eventually, she finally got rid of it. She has obviously faced difficulty when dealing with staying away and getting off of her addiction. She also faced a lot of danger while doing morphene but she faced the danger and figured out a way to stop it. Pain is probably the biggest one because she was so dependent on the morphene for so long. She painfully got the addiction to stop. The most courageous thing though is when Mrs. Dubose is offered morphene. She is sick and is dying but she vowed to never take morphene again. Her strength and courage to pass that up and then eventually pass away makes her one of the most courageous people Atticus knew.

I thought these chapters was a good reading. A lot of events happen that shape the kids lives' and Atticus'. Also Mrs. Dubose passes and we learn a lot about willpower and addiction. I definitely look forward to keep reading the book and learning more about the kids' life.
